Comments Policy

I love getting feedback on my posts and I appreciate any questions, thoughts, and opinions on the topics covered in my blog. One of the goals of my blog is to provoke discussions, so I especially enjoy comments that do this. With that in mind, feel free to disagree with me, state a controversial opinion, or ask pointed questions.

There are a few regulations regarding the comments on this blog:

  • Obscene Content - Any comments that are of a perverse nature or includes obscene language will not be published.

  • Personal Attacks - Any comments that are deemed inflammatory and/or defamatory to the author or other readers will be rejected. I ask that readers please respect all opinions, whether they agree with them or not.

  • Links - Readers can include links to sites that will encourage discussion of the topic. On the other hand, any comments that contain links to another site that does not add to the discussion will be deleted. All links will be evaluated to order to ensure this.

    Readers are free to leave a link to their personal websites or social media sites using the "Name/URL" option when posting a comment.

  • Spam - In my time of being a blogger, it has become pretty obvious to me which comments are legitimate and which comments can be classified as "spam". Those labeled as spam are usually ones that say, "nice post" or "great site" without engaging the content in any way. They also usually include a link of some sort. These kinds of comments will be automatically deleted, so please do not even try!

  • Comments Not Appearing -  In the past, I have had problems with comments not appearing for me to publish or reject. After posting a comment, please check back. If your comment does not show up within 24 hours and it does not include any of the above, please try again.
My desire is to have an atmosphere of openness on this blog, one that encourages readers to give their feedback. However, certain people have taken advantage of this, and that is why this comment policy is in place.
