You Know You're a History Buff When...
1. You bring a history related book on vacation to read on the beach just for fun.
2. You never get lost in a bookstore because your friends and family know they can always find you in the history section.
3. You fight with your family over the TV because there is a really good show on the History Channel.
4. You'd rather go see the latest historical film than the newest James Bond or Superhero movie.
5. Your friends and family know who to ask with a question related to history.
6. You always seem to find yourself having a conversation about some historical topic no matter what the occasion.
7. You go around asking your friends and family, "Do you know what happened today in history?" or "Do you know the significance of this date?"
8. You always get history books and DVD's for gifts and you don't even ask for them.
9. You have memorized where the history section of your local library is and the librarians actually know who you are. They greet you with, "So what history topic are you interested in today?"
10. You're amazed at how much useless information you actually know!
Do any of these describe you?

Haha, very nice list. I was working on a Top 10 List and decided to visit your site for a break. Congratulations again!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dave! I'm glad you liked the list. I enjoy your Top 10 lists!
ReplyDeleteThis is not me. It is my husband. He can give a historical reference to anyplace we happen to be visiting. No matter where we go.
ReplyDeleteRose,
ReplyDeleteThat's great! Sounds like your husband knows a lot of history. Thanks for stopping by!
what a funny video! I love list--though it doesn't describe me enough. I was a history minor in college, but I'm not that much of a buff! guess my sister got all those genes!:)
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteI love the Top 10 List! It definitely describes me too. (BA and MA in history, love to browse history sections in bookstores and libraries, and I get asked all of the history-related questions by people I know. BTW, I love your blog and included it in my blogroll.
Margaret
